For all clubs outside of school:

Please CALL the 4-H Office to sign up, 270-665-9118. Even if you were in a club last year, please let us know your plans to return. It helps us plan and have enough refreshments, supplies, etc.

After School 4-H clubs:

-Cloverbuds are ages 5-8 years old.  They do a variety of topics usually seasonal/holiday related and will be showing the variety of projects 4-H has to offer.  MEETING ON THIRD SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH 9-10:30 AM. Leaders are Katelyn Metzger and Kevyn Dunker.

-Lego Club is for grades K-12th .  Lego projects and building skills will be worked on. MEETS 9/29, 11/3 FROM 4-5 PM.   Amanda Miller is the leader. 

-Explorer’s Club is for 3^rd-5^th graders. They explore a variety of projects/subject matter that 4-H has to offer.   MEETS ON SECOND WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH 4-5 PM. Leaders are Amanda Miller and Katie Enlow.

-Middle School Leadership Club is for grades 6-8.  They will be learning how to conduct meetings, exploring the local city and county governments and community service.  MEETINGS HELD ON THE FOURTH TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH 4-5 PM.  Elizabeth King and Leslie Goodin are leaders. 

-Technology Club is for ages 9-18.  Variety of computer and robotic lessons.  Meetings are held at the Ballard Telephone Cooperative on THIRD THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH 3:30-4:30 PM.  BALLARD RURAL EMPLOYEES ARE LEADING THE MEETINGS. 

-Livestock Club is for all ages K-12.  In-depth learning about the world of cattle, poultry, pigs, sheep, goats and all the farm animals in between!  MEETS ON THE THIRD TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH FROM 4-5 PM.  Murray State Professors Lydia and Patrick O'Sullivan will be leaders. 

-FOODS AND COOKING is for ages 9-18. Limit of 8 kids!  Demonstrations and hands on learning to cook 4-H recipes, Holiday appetizers, cakes, cookies and more!  MEETS ON THE FOURTH MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH 4-5 PM.  Tiffen and Anna Cox are leaders. 

-Art Club is for ages 9-18 (may split into two groups).  Painting, drawing, designing with all projects being eligible for the Ballard County and Kentucky State Fair!  MEETS ON SECOND TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH FROM 4-5 PM.  Nancy Courtney is the leader.

-Teen Club is for high schoolers and will meet around sports schedules throughout the year.  Updates will be posted on Facebook and sent out in our newsletter.   

-4^th Grade Clubs- take place during school hours once monthly. PAULA JERRELL IS LEADING.

Shooting Sports Club: Practice begins in early March!  Will send out an update in a newsletter at a later date!

Enrichment and Special Interest

We will be having several enrichment and special interest opportunities for our Ballard students this coming year.  We are bringing back Leadership, Reality Store and Truth and Consequences in the Middle School as well as   21^st Century after school. As part of the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service and the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, we get to partner with the schools for fun and educational programs!
